Hi! I’m Alexis—designer, doodler, recovering perfectionist, and the foul-mouthed millennial behind Good Things. I’m a 90s kid at heart (IYKYK), a feeler with a flair for fun, and someone who believes in the power of a well-placed sticker and a perfectly timed “fuck it.”
I started this shop in 2011 as a way to make what I wanted but couldn’t find: stationery that felt like me. Encouraging but honest. Cute but not cutesy. Functional but also fun as hell. You’ll find notebooks, calendars, stickers, tattoos, and to-do lists that talk back a little—and sometimes a lot.
One of my favorite collections is “today is a good day” because, let’s face it, some days that little reminder is all we’ve got. And that’s enough.
I’m still figuring out my style, and I kind of love that. I’m drawn to soft pastels and bold type. Sweet florals and swear words. I like pretty things, punchy things, experimental things—and I’m not afraid to try them all. Good Things is where all of that gets to coexist… messy, magical, and in-progress, just like me.
Outside the studio, I’ve had the joy of stepping foot on all seven continents (yes, even the icy one), and I bring that wanderlust into my work—curious, colorful, and always looking for the beauty in the little things.
And of course, I don’t do this alone. Ollie, our Support Coordinator, is a gentle soul and expert in emotional support. He specializes in belly rub breaks and patrols the yard for squirrels with the kind of dedication you only dream of in a coworker.
Boots, our Engagement Specialist, is the office shadow, the sass-master, and the one most likely to appear mid-Zoom with a strong opinion and zero shame. If there’s a spotlight, he’s in it.
Good Things is more than a shop—it’s a creative playground, a pep talk in product form, and a small rebellion against beige, boring, and buttoned-up. Thank you for being here. You’re welcome any time.
