When the Path Changes

Let’s be real—life doesn’t always stick to the plan. Sometimes the thing you didn’t see coming knocks the wind out of you. A left turn, a sudden stop, a shift you never circled on your calendar.

Recently, I found myself in one of those moments. The kind where your plans unravel a bit and you’re left holding the loose ends, wondering what’s next. I won’t get into the details (because honestly, the details aren’t the point). What is the point? That I’m still here. Rebuilding. Rerouting. Reclaiming my energy, little by little.

June is a good month for that, don’t you think? It’s a threshold—a turning point. The halfway mark in the year that whispers, “You’ve still got time.” Time to shift your focus, time to choose differently, time to begin again.

Here’s what I’ve learned while moving through the swirl of emotions:
  • It’s okay to pause.
  • It’s okay to cry.
  • It’s okay to not have a five-step plan immediately.
But it’s also powerful to choose something—anything—that grounds you. For me, that’s morning walks with my pups (shoutout to Ollie and Boots), journaling what I do know, and letting my creativity lead the way—even if it’s just designing something small that brings me joy.

If you’re going through your own pivot, here’s your gentle reminder:
  • You’re allowed to start again.
  • You’re allowed to feel it all and still move forward.
  • You’re allowed to take a detour and still end up exactly where you’re meant to be.
This month, I’m embracing adventure—not just the bold, exciting kind, but the quiet bravery of showing up each day with intention. My calendar isn’t packed, but my heart is open. And that, my lovely, is a good place to begin.

So here’s to fresh starts, uncharted paths, and good things waiting just ahead.
