There’s a moment every March when the clocks shift and suddenly the world feels a little… off. You wake up a bit groggier. Your routine feels wobbly. Your body is not quite on the same page as the calendar.
And yet somehow we’re all expected to just power through it like nothing happened.
So if you feel a little slower or out of sync when Daylight Saving Time rolls in, you do not need to overhaul your whole life to handle this shift. Think small. Think gentle.
In the few days leading up to the time change, you might try:
- going to bed 10 or 15 minutes earlier
- dimming your lights a little sooner in the evening
- putting your phone down a few minutes earlier
- creating a wind-down ritual that feels calming
The first few days of Daylight Saving Time can feel a little strange. Your body is catching up.
Give yourself permission to:
- drink a little more water
- step outside and let the sunlight hit your face
- eat something nourishing
- move gently
- rest when you’re tired
- lower the bar on productivity
A little reminder for this week
If you feel off, you’re not failing.
If you feel tired, you’re not lazy.
If you feel out of rhythm, you’re not doing anything wrong.
You’re simply adjusting to the light.
Be gentle with yourself this week. 🌷
