Permission Slips for Your Soft Girl Era
Share
Sometimes, the loudest voice we need to hear is the one that says: It’s okay. You’re allowed. And while we don’t need permission to rest, feel, or be a work in progress, it sure helps to have it written down like a note passed in class.
So this month, we’re handing out permission slips like confetti. Here’s your stack... tear one off anytime you need it.
Permission Slips to Carry Into May
📝 I give myself permission to:
🌼 Do absolutely nothing productive today—and still be worthy.
🌼 Say no without guilt, apology, or overexplaining.
🌼 Take up space—even when I feel messy or unsure.
🌼 Start over, even if I’ve started over a hundred times.
🌼 Feel my feelings without rushing to fix them.
🌼 Wear the comfy clothes and call it a lewk.
🌼 Rest before I’m completely burned out.
🌼 Not be “on” all the time—for anyone.
🌼 Celebrate the tiny wins. Yes, even just brushing my hair.
🌼 Ask for help (and not feel weird about it).
🌼 Feel joy, even if everything’s not perfect.
🌼 Unfollow people who drain my energy—online or IRL.
🌼 Be proud of small steps. Especially the invisible ones.
Write your own permission slip in a Good Things notebook and stick it to your mirror. Or screenshot one of these and use it as your phone background. However you carry it, just don’t forget: You are allowed to be kind to yourself.
What’s a permission slip you need right now? Leave it in the comments below—you might inspire someone else to write theirs too. 💛
