Halfway through the year already? Yep. If January goals are gathering dust somewhere between your planner and your Pinterest boards, you’re not alone.
July is the perfect time to stop and ask: Are these goals still what I want?
Not what you thought you “should” want. Not what past-you hoped for while in full vision board mode. But right now you. Because growth isn’t linear—and neither are your goals.
✨ Sometimes the goal stays the same… but the path needs a detour.
✨ Sometimes the goal feels too big… so we simplify it.
✨ And sometimes, we surprise ourselves and realize we’re closer than we thought.
That’s what a mid-year reset is for. Not to shame yourself for what didn’t happen, but to gently ask: What do I want from the rest of this year? And how can I make that feel good, not guilt-filled?
Let me tell you what I’ve been doing: I like to look back at the goals I set in January with a kind lens. I’ll scribble notes in the margins like “not vibing anymore” or “maybe later.” I’ll cross one off entirely if it no longer aligns. I’ve even rewritten a goal to make it softer, more playful, or more me. That’s not quitting. That’s evolving.
Your goals can pivot, shift, shrink, or stretch.
You’re allowed to change your mind.
And progress—even teeny, tiny progress—counts.
💛 Still want to work on the same thing? Awesome—refocus.
💛 Want to bring it down a notch? Love that for you.

To help you reset, I’ve created a free printable I love. It’s a foldable little desk stand called A Year of Good Things—your goals, vision, and vibes in one sweet, visual reminder. Perfect for your desk, your nightstand, or anywhere you need a gentle nudge. Print it, cut it, fold it, fill it in… and keep moving forward, one good thing at a time.
